Breaking News - MEND Camps under Heavy Attacks!!!

At about 0930 Hrs today, May 13, 2009, the Nigerian armed forces launched an
unprovoked attack on two major MEND camps in Delta state hoping to overwhelm them
with the element of surprise.

Unfortunately for the raiders, we were waiting for them. A bloody battle is on-going
and two gunboats belonging to the army have already been sunk by mines with several
casualties on the side of the army.

All freedom fighters in the Niger Delta have been placed on alert to defend their
positions and unleash a horrible toll on the oil industry and the Nigerian economy.

JTF Base Attack!

At exactly 0200Hrs on Thursday, May 14, 2009, special commandos from the Movement
for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) launched pre-emptive simultaneous
attacks on two military Joint Task Force marine bases in Delta state in response to
a planned punitive invasion on some protesting oil communities.

Overall, five gun boats and various support vessels have been destroyed in one night
thereby confirming the success of Operation Pearl Harbor.

The resistance was surprisingly weak after many soldiers caught napping abandoned

Update on Fighting (2)

Sunday, May 17, 2009 revealed the desperation of the Nigerian armed forces in a war
it has no way of winning when the world witnessed indiscriminate use of missiles and
bombs on several defenseless Ijaw communities in Delta state. This is the height of
cowardice.

At one point we began wondering if the pilots had problems with the calibration of
their weapons. It is now evident that sheer resentment of a people waking up to
claim what has been stolen for five decades was the cause.

To make matters worse, the Nigerian government, aware of the consequences of its

JTF Attack Claims

The leader of a small group of fighters around the Buguma creek axis in Rivers
state, Egbele has confirmed that there was no attack in his camp as claimed by the
military JTF.

He said they actually asked him to cooperate by giving the impression his camp has
been over-run.

This is surely a dubious sign of desperation.

Hurricane Piper Alpha Devastates Chevron Oil Installations!

As forewarned, a major "Cordon and Search" operation by the Movement for the
Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) commenced today, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at
about 2200 Hrs with devastating effects on the heavily fortified Chevron Otunana
flow station in Delta state which is currently engulfed in fire after being
overwhelmed by our fighters.

Code named "Hurricane Piper Alpha", the objective is to smoke out war criminals of
the Northern Nigerian armed forces who have taken refuge in oil installations and
give them instant jungle justice.

The Attack on Chevrons Otunana Flow Station

We found it amusing to read the feeble and unconvincing statement by the military
JTF spokesman, Col Rabe Abubakar over the Tuesday attack on the Otunana flow
station.

His explanations about an accident in an unused flow station is understandably to
cover their shame and shock that in spite of all that show of force, the security in
place can be easily breached.

This man and his boss, General Bello, are misleading the public with lies. He did a
similar thing after the skirmish on May 13, when he denied there were casualties on
his side only to admit it later.

Chevron JV Gas & Crude Oil Pipelines attacked!

At about 1800 Hrs, today, June 12, 2009, when Matthew Maguire was being handed over
in Rivers state, a major gas pipeline manifold and another major crude oil pipeline
belonging to Chevron JV recently repaired at a sum of over $56 million were both
blown up after another "system failure" caused by a passing Hurricane Piper Alpha.

The pipelines are located just 200 meters from the abandoned Camp 5 in Delta state
where the army is supposedly in control. The pipelines were due for re-commissioning
so as it stands we are back to square one.

Fresh Attacks on Chevron

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta carried out the recent attacks
against Chevron in Delta state:

about 0005 Hrs today, Saturday, June 13, 2009.

- Earlier at about 22.10 Hrs on Friday, June 12, 2009, the Otunana oil well 1 and
its Gas lift and Trunk lines were also destroyed.

Chevrons Safety Standards

The spokesman of the military Joint task Force (JTF), Colonel Rabe Abubakar was
quick to blame a "systems failure" as the reason for the recent fire outbreak at the
dormant Otunana flow station belonging to Chevron Nigeria Ltd.

This is an indictment of a poor safety standard of Chevron which if it were to be
the case, all its flow stations and work complexes would need a thorough safety
inspection as the company by its negligence as the JTF asserts would be putting
workers at risk.

Chevron has not yet confirmed or denied the real cause of the Otunana fire and that
