African Security Research Project
The African Security Research Project does research and analysis on U.S. security policy toward Africa--both sub-Saharan Africa and north Africa--and on U.S. military activities on the continent. The organization provides this information and analysis to interested individuals, the general public, and the media through speaking engagements and other public events, articles and reports published in the media, and radio and TV programs. In addition to U.S. military involvement in Africa, the African Security Research Project also does research and analysis on the growing military involvement of China, India, Russia, and other countries in Africa. The mission of the organization is to provide reliable and accessable information and analysis on these issues to the public and the media both in the United States and abroad, particularly in Africa, to facilitate an informed discussion of these issues and to help promote changes in government policies that cause or exacerbate violence and instability in African countries.
