At about 0930 Hrs today, May 13, 2009, the Nigerian armed forces launched an
unprovoked attack on two major MEND camps in Delta state hoping to overwhelm them
with the element of surprise.

Unfortunately for the raiders, we were waiting for them. A bloody battle is on-going
and two gunboats belonging to the army have already been sunk by mines with several
casualties on the side of the army.

All freedom fighters in the Niger Delta have been placed on alert to defend their
positions and unleash a horrible toll on the oil industry and the Nigerian economy.

The insincere government had hoped to use it's so-called amnesty offer to deceive
the Niger Delta people and then strip the region of its ability to defend itself.

Oil companies operating in the region are advised to evacuate their staff within the
next 24 hours to avoid them being part of the statistics of an emerging civil war.
